Tamer spent years chained up. When his owner died, he ended up in the Portuguese shelter. As an old dog, he had no chance of being adopted anymore, but fortunately, he was allowed to come to the Netherlands and since March 2026 he has been living at Perro&Co Headquarters.
The first days were very much an adjustment; his old brain had difficulty adapting to the new environment. With rest, patience, and some medication as support, fortunately, a bit of calm soon returned to Tammetje’s mind. And he slowly began to explore his new living environment. Tamer couldn't contain his happiness when he discovered that there was a huge garden, or rather a meadow, around his new house where he could sniff, roam, hop, and lounge to his heart's content.
He also likes to help his people a little with daily chores: gathering wood for the fireplace, planting (and digging up) plants, supervising when the laundry is hung, and of course, he is always ready to receive a pet or a hug. And even though he is old, Tamer is simply a very happy guy who still wants to experience everything!
