How do you recognize a good foundation? What do you look for when choosing a dog? You can read all of that in the free ebook that you can find on their website

Below are some links to other foundations where you might find your perfect match.

Greyhounds in nood

Would a Galgo be right for you? On the website of Greyhounds in nood Nederland read more about these Spanish hunting dogs.

There is a gruesome tradition in Spain of breeding Galgos without restraint and dumping them at the end of the hunting season. Hunters throw them alive into wells, hang them from trees or bridges, set them on fire, or simply abandon them to their fate.

Fortunately, there are shelters and foundations that rescue these dogs and make it possible for them to move to a loving home. See here which Galgos are currently available for adoption.

Verhuisdieren

On the website of verhuisdieren you will find advertisements for dogs residing in the Netherlands that are available for adoption.

The advertisements may be placed by private individuals wishing to rehome their own dog or by foundations that have dogs in foster care. Advertising for trade or puppy mills is not permitted here.

The selection is large, but you must judge for yourself how reliable the dog provider is (Are they telling the truth? Does the dog really suit you? Is the dog healthy? )

Hobodogs

From Podenco to Pointer, from Setter to Water Dog. In the Spanish shelter with which Hobodogs cooperates, many different types of dogs are waiting for a loving home.

Most of the dogs on their website are still abroad and can travel directly to their new Dutch homes. Some dogs are already in a foster family in the Netherlands. The volunteers will do their utmost to make the most careful match possible, and you can still contact them with questions even after adoption.

Dutch Dog Rehabilitation Centre

Dutch Dog Rehabilitation Centre is a foundation that takes in, rehabilitates, and rehomes (foreign) dogs in a home environment. Dogs that are at risk of falling through the cracks or need a little more attention before they can be placed as a family dog.

A careful selection is made so that the dog and the new owner are a truly good match. The new owner receives guidance for as long as necessary.

Check here which dogs they currently have available for adoption.
