Even within Europe, countless dogs are still mistreated, left on the streets, or abandoned. At Stichting Perro & Co, we work tirelessly to prevent and combat this cruelty.
Prevention and adoption
Far too many dogs are still neglected and abandoned in Europe. The Perro&Co Foundation is committed to preventing and resolving this animal suffering. We collaborate with the Portuguese shelters Guadi Centro de Animais, O Cantinho da Milu, and Abrigo de Carinho on disease prevention, castration projects and education, to tackle the problem of street dogs at its core.
Additionally, we place rescued dogs in foster homes in the Netherlands, giving them a second chance at a loving, permanent home. To ensure that older shelter dogs also have a future, we launched Project Senior—because every dog deserves love and care, no matter their age.
We don't skip Senior Dogs. In Project Senior we join forces between sponsors and host families-for-ever to give seniors a comfortable old age in the Netherlands.
