To help contribute to solving the stray dog problem, we need assistance. Perro&Co is a small foundation and relies on the support of individuals and businesses to carry out its work.
Sponsor a shelter dog
Our disease prevention project is a preventative healthcare program for dogs at the Portuguese Guadi shelter. This program is set up to protect the dogs in the shelter from diseases, some of which are difficult to cure, chronic, or even deadly. The medical costs of the shelter are extremely high, and they are completely dependent on donations for this.
Sponsor a senior dog
Older dogs often end up in shelters with little to no chance of adoption. Many struggle to adjust to shelter life, requiring more comfort and care in their later years.
Some were once hunting or breeding dogs, discarded when they were no longer useful. Others belonged to loving families, only to be left behind when their owners passed away.
Through Project Senior, we provide senior dogs with loving forever homes. We do this by bringing together a community of caring individuals:
Foster families open their homes to these dogs permanently.
Sponsors help cover their medical and care expenses.
Together, we give senior dogs the retirement they deserve.
Project Senior helps these dogs enjoy a happy old age in a loving home. We do this by combining the efforts of different people: foster families take a senior dog into their home permanently, and sponsors contribute to the costs.
Donating to the Perro&Co Foundation
You can choose to donate once or on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, or annually). Donations can be directed towards a specific project—such as Project Senior, the Prevention project in Portugal or the spray/neuter program in Romania.
100% of donations go directly toward preventing and alleviating animal suffering—we are a completely volunteer-run, non-profit organization with no overhead costs.

A portion of every purchase directly funds our rescue efforts, while the rest covers production and shipping.
Join our volunteer team
We rely on volunteers to make this foundation successful. Through volunteers, we have the opportunity to grow and make a greater impact for stray dogs.
We are continuously looking for host families for the dogs and usually also have other fun job openings. If your ideal position isn't listed, you can submit an open application.
Where Does Your Contribution Go?
As a non-profit, volunteer-run foundation, every euro donated is used to prevent and alleviate animal suffering.
You choose how your donation is used: Project Senior – Giving older dogs a comfortable home. Preventive Healthcare – Protecting shelter dogs from diseases. Spay/Neuter Programs – Controlling the stray population. General Donations – Used for the most urgent needs. If you choose a general donation, we allocate funds where they are needed most—whether for a foster dog needing medical treatment, emergency shelter repairs, or urgent veterinary care.
