Eloy was found wandering the streets in Portugal, with a chip but no owner who wanted him anymore.
Because the shelter was full, he had to survive outside for a long time until he eventually found a place in the Portuguese shelter.
There he showed what a sweet and friendly dog he is.
Fortunately, a forever-host-family came forward who was more than happy to give Eloy a comfortable old age in the Netherlands.
In September 2025, he made the trip of a lifetime to the Netherlands, and by now the old guy has completely settled in with his new family.
He gets along very well with the other two house dogs and is sometimes still a bit mischievous in his old age! He quickly learned, for example, that there's always something tasty to be found on the countertop…
He enjoys his daily little walks, gets a bit of buttermilk as a treat after his kibble, and has a warm bed, love & attention at his disposal for the rest of his life.
Good old Eloy can get used to the good life in the Netherlands!
