Story: Dona Josefa, an 8-year-old lady and true owner of the street, had known only abandonment and life outdoors until recently. For years she lived on the streets, moving from one makeshift nest to another—some we managed to rescue her from, others we never even knew existed. She appeared from time to time, though entire seasons would pass without a glimpse of her. Countless rescue attempts failed, as she remained wary and elusive. Then, at last, the long-awaited miracle happened—she came to the shelter, though adapting was not easy. Her hair has been treated, and she is already looking much better. Now, all she needs is time and someone to truly dedicate themselves to her. At the shelter, it’s hard to provide that constant care, so we are asking for another miracle—this time, the miracle of a family. In shelter since: 12/2024.
