Cody

Story: Cody is a sweet 9-year-old boy and a true low-key lad. He’s a shy dog who tends to avoid strangers and sometimes whines when he feels insecure, but his gentle nature shines through. If something scares him, he prefers to retreat. For months, Cody lived in isolation, hiding wherever he could and only emerging when he was certain no one was around. We worked hard to earn his trust and show him we meant well. Now, things have improved—he enjoys meeting people he likes and loves being petted. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all breeds, is very sociable, enjoys exercise, and can also relax for long stretches, always calm and pleasant. He has been at the shelter since 2017.
