Gismo

Story: Gismo was born in August 2020 and has been at the shelter since then. Sharron took a special interest in bottle-fed Gismo, who was part of a litter dumped in the garbage. It initially seemed he had injured his nose, and the vet suggested surgery might be needed if the damage was from being thrown away. Based on this, the decision was made to keep Gismo as a permanent resident. Over time, it became clear his nose was fine, but Gismo stayed at Cacela Dog Haven. When we thought he might be ready for adoption, he spent time with one of our vet partners specializing in puppy training, but it was obvious he was unhappy and missed Sharron. Gismo is now available for “Long Term Sponsorship.”
