Story: Akiva is a gorgeous 4-year-old Rafeiro do Alentejo searching for a forever home to call her own. Despite a rough start in life, she’s never let it stop her from making the most of every day. Rescued as a puppy with two broken legs, she’s shown remarkable strength and resilience on her journey. Now, Akiva is a happy, affectionate girl who loves spending time with her people and taking life at her own pace. With her gentle nature, big heart, and endless love to give, she’s truly special. While she does have hip dysplasia from her early injuries, managed with daily pain relief, it doesn’t define her.
