His recovery has been slow, and every effort is being made to save the only eye he has left, which was badly damaged but is now out of danger of blindness. His open eye socket had to be closed due to the high risk of infection and to give him a better quality of life, and the procedure went well. Despite everything, Boris is a true gentleman who always maintains his composure. His greatest joy is food, likely because of the hunger he endured during his neglected past. He has been waiting for a home at the shelter since February 2024.
